Food safety isn’t optional, it’s imperative.

As a farm with both produce and livestock we understand the risks and take every matter of food safety seriously. We are a FSMA inspected facility as well as having received a GlobalGAP certification for growing and packing peppers and green beans in 2022 demonstrating our unique ability to go above and beyond basic food safety requirements while having a parallel livestock operation.

While we integrate livestock whenever we can, and use manure or compost as a base to our fertility program, we meet and exceed waiting restrictions for both GlobalGAP and FSMA requirements to ensure the risk of microbial contamination isn’t elevated. In addition we only integrate animals and animal based amendments prior to what the FDA classifies as a “low risk” crop (pumpkins, sweet corn, etc.). We also regularly test our water sources for E.coli to ensure nothing will ever slip through the cracks to provide the safest produce for our customers.
